I'm Daniel Ulisses. I build cloud platforms and like teaching people how they work.
I'm a cloud architect and DevOps engineer who enjoys the teaching part of the job as much as the building part. I've spent years designing cloud platforms on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, automating everything with Infrastructure as Code and running Kubernetes in production.
Lately I spend a lot of my time on AI engineering applied to operations: LLM-based agents that review infrastructure changes, help on-call engineers triage incidents and remove toil, with the same guardrails we'd apply to any engineer.

Kubernetes platforms, GitOps with Argo CD, CI/CD with short-lived credentials, observability and policy as code.
AI engineering for DevOps
LLMs and agents for IaC review, incident triage and runbook automation, plus the infrastructure to run them safely.
Teaching & mentoring
I like explaining things. Workshops, pairing and writing about Kubernetes, Terraform and GitOps are a big part of how I learn.

How I like to work
Teach while building
The best platform is one the whole team understands. I pair, document and record walkthroughs as I go, so nobody depends on me to run what I built.
Everything as code
Infrastructure, policies, pipelines, dashboards. If it is not in Git and reviewed, it does not exist.
Boring technology first
Managed services and well-known CNCF projects before custom tooling. The most maintainable platform is the one your next hire already knows.
AI with guardrails
LLMs and agents are great teammates for operations, as long as they go through the same reviews, permissions and audit trails as everyone else.
